? Award Recognition at ECIS 2025 ?

We’re thrilled to announce that Prof. Dr. Milad Mirbabaie and our colleague Michael Truong-Ngoc (both University of Bamberg), together with their co-author Julian Marx from University of Melbourne, received the Claudio Ciborra Award – 2nd Runner Up at the ECIS 2025 conference in Amman, Jordan! ?

Their paper, titled “Digital Activism Triggered by Climate-related Crisis Events: Evidence From Australian Bushfire Seasons”, investigates how digital platforms foster activism in response to environmental crises—offering timely insights into the role of information systems in a changing climate.
